Loose-Aggressive
If you like playing on the offense and keeping your opponents playing defensively against you, cultivating a loose-aggressive playing image is the way to go when you play poker online. A loose-aggressive poker player is always scary because you never know what he’s holding. A loose-aggressive player can raise you your chip stack with the same demeanor whether he’s holding a straight flush or a 9-high.
Making people think that you’re a loose-aggressive player doesn’t necessarily mean playing like a maniac all the time. In fact, it only requires a minimal time and chip investment. Choose a hand where all of the players are acting a bit tentative, and make a good pre-flop raise with a garbage hand. If you get called, raise after the flop. Then turn. See a pattern? If things come to showdown and players see that you will go to the end of the hand with rags, they’ll keep that image in their minds. If your online poker opponents fold when you raise, show your bluff. You’ll sacrifice your bluffing power when you show your bluffs, but once you win a few hands with legitimate cards, your opponents won’t know what cards to put you on, and they’ll end up tearing their hair out trying to figure out your hands whenever you are in a pot.
