Linkin Park Join F1 Lineup
The face of the US rock group Linkin Park yesterday told of his pleasure at the band’s trip to the UAE later on to perform as a part of the capital’s Formula One parties. Chester Bennington asserted he hadn’t before paid a visit to the Middle East and conceded the band, famous for its heavy rock style and explicit words, may tone down its performance to make it tastier for the UAE audience. Varied cultures in the world accept different things, and we are fine with that, asserted Bennington, 34. We now and then have to make changes to the lyrics or the set list and we could have to do that for Abu Dhabi, we haven’t made any last plans yet. We would like to confirm everyone seems to be happy.
He claimed he had no preconceptions about playing in a Middle Eastern or Islamic country. I try hard not to forecast what I am going to experience when I visit a new place, he said. I’m often truly shocked by how extraordinary a place is. I am sure it’s going to be the same in Abu Dhabi. Making judgements about folk or a place before experiencing it’s a limiting way of taking a look at life, he revealed. I’ve been fortunate to have travelled to so many states with the band that I do not incline to put too much price on generalisations. Folk might have the same sort of generalisations about American citizens and I am sure many do. I just think a lot of folk in the world are intrinsically good. They like good music, great food and good company. We want to come to Abu Dhabi, play our songs and have a good time.
Bennington, who regularly performs shirtless to show his many tattoos, became known as a vocalist with Linkin Park’s first album in 2k, Compound Speculation , which was a large business success. Flash Entertainment, the events company organizing the entertainment in the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, told yesterday the double-Grammy-Award-winning band would perform on Sat. Nov thirteen as a part of the Yasalam after-race concerts on Yas Island.
